One of the most common concerns I hear from my flying partners is that too often members don’t feel engaged, or that their voices aren’t being heard and acted upon. As your Local Council President, I will work to change that by creating more meaningful opportunities for participation, input, and connection. We have to communicate as a Local Council in the digital spaces our members access every day.
How We’ll Make It Happen
Monthly Council Meetings
Our Union functions best when members are informed and involved. By holding monthly Council meetings, we can create a consistent space to share updates, answer questions, and hear directly from you about what matters most on the line. This regular rhythm ensures no member feels left behind.
Committee Resource Tables
Our committees do vital work on our behalf, but many members aren’t aware of all the resources available. Together with committee members and my fellow LEC Officers, we will work to establish periodic Committee Resource Tables in the rotunda— featuring a different committee each month — to make resources more visible and accessible. This is about connecting you to the right people, right where you are.
Learning and Empowerment Sessions
Knowledge is power, and our contract is our strongest tool. We will organize interactive learning sessions so that everyone feels confident navigating our contract rules. We’ll also host Contract Section Workshops to help all members understand, enforce, and maximize the protections we’ve fought for.
Engagement is not just about meetings — it’s about building an active, informed, and connected membership. When every Flight Attendant feels seen, heard, and empowered, our union is at its strongest.
